It's a great film. The initial misconceptions I carried about this film faded within the first few minutes. The hate it gets is unjustified and largely the result of the aforesaid misconceptions.
All the four short stories are grounded, well developed & the characters are fleshed out & multi-layered, true to the characteristic of OTT based movies. And perhaps, OTT is the only platform liberal enough to allow a cinema where females are reinvigorating their sexuality unabashedly.
The first story is about the complexity & unfairness of the mating/dating market the youth finds itself in & the anxieties & emotional perils that come with operating in it. Making sense of what random sexual encounters & hookups mean, what a true open relationship is like, the frustration of your ideal scenario not playing out, trying to piece together a picture of your romantic landscape based on the books you have read etc etc.
It is relatable.
